Degreasing

Degreasing has traditionally been performed with petroleum-based solvents, organic chemicals such as d-Limonene, acetone, alcohols and NMP, or water based caustic detergents.  However, all of these solvents are either toxic, flammable or dangerous to use and carry GHS Warning Pictograms.

Ibiotec has developed high-performance alternative solvents to replace these in most applications.  Some Ibiotec solvents such as Neutralene® VG 2020 are water soluble and water rinseable to allow non-residual cleaning.

An ultra high-performance bio-solvent, and provides emulsifiable cleaning and degreasing, specially designed to replace hydrocarbon-based and other petroleum-sourced solvents. It meets the needs of production and maintenance managers in terms of performance, lack of toxicity, environmental and safety criteria. VG 2020 is highly effective for cleaning off heavy contaminant tars, heavy hydrocarbons, and combustion residues.

Neutralene® VG 2020 can be used undiluted, applied with a cloth or sprayed at low pressure, typically for oil & gas, heavy industry, offshore oil & gas and marine. It will clean off heavy oils, crude, tars, asphaltenes and greases. Allow to act then rinse with a pressurised water jet or high-pressure spray. It may also be used mixed with water at the point of use, at dilutions of 5 to 50% depending on the type of contaminant to be eliminated. Typically, surfaces are residue free after pressure rinsing.

A new generation parts washing solvent formulated on vegetable (plant based) esters. It is the best compromise between petroleum oil-based and vegetable oil-based cleaners.  it easily replaces petroleum-based solvents, which can be volatile and flammable. It is used pure, and either cold or hot (up to 80°C), in parts washers, cleaning benches, with ultrasonic or any manual processing.

Neutralene BIO 1000 is non-flammable, free from VOCs, readily biodegradable and has low sensitivity to skin.  It has low evaporation, high chemical stability and is not subject to oxidisation or acidification which provides a long bath life.  It is totally compatible with paints and nitrile rubber (NBR) seals.

Neutralene BIO 1000 is efficient in eliminating all types of used lubricants (mineral, plant or synthetic), even those charged with particles, except per-fluorinated lubricants. It also removes full and soluble cutting oils, corrosion protective oils and waxes, bituminous coatings and deposits, residues of mould release agents used in plastic processing industries.  It is NSF Food Grade certified, K1- No. 146623.

High-performance cleaning and degreasing solvent, for electrical contact cleaning and surface preparation applications.  It is free of n-Hexane, toluene or chlorinated solvents.  Available in patented 650ml aerosol cans, or bulk 20L or 200L.

Neutralene® V 200 is used for cleaning and preparation of surfaces. Formulated for speedy evaporation and a very high KB 90 index (solvent power). Dielectric Solvent (IEC 156 50 000 Volts), Flash Point of 23⁰C, fast drying and water rinseable.

Solvent K1: Solvent Cleaner for use in Non-processing area products (where there is no possibility of solvent vapours entering into the food processing area) to degrease equipment utilized in production zones. (e.g. conveyor bearings and maintenance of other mechanical components, etc.).

Bioclean ® AL HP is an NSF Certified water-based degreaser for tough jobs, used from 2% to 20% dilution.

Bioclean ® AL HP is a highly concentrated alkaline cleaner specifically formulated for heavy cleaning jobs in industrial applications.  NSF Program Listed A1, Registration 146624 and may be used in ultrasonic cleaning machines.

Effective removal of all animal, vegetable and mineral based contaminants.  Bioclean ® AL HP is especially recommended for the removal of natural contaminants like oil, grease and heavy and light hydrocarbons.

Ideal for periodic cleaning of facility floors, equipment, drilling platforms, storage areas, and emergency cleanings in industrial settings and accidental spills.

Bioclean ® AL HP powerfully cleans and descales inorganic particles and burnt residues.  It can also be used to clean hot water heaters, boiler fire-sides and to remove liquid inks, such as in flexography.
